Golfasian - Asian Golf Holiday Experts in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Laos & Myanmar

Jim,

Just wanted to give you some feedback from the completion of my recent Golf in Siem Reap experience, 22-26 Nov.

Actually no issues with Golf Asian — everything went as scheduled.  Sofitel was a great place to use as a base, great pool and breakfast buffet  (gotta love the French for the coffee and coissants).  Since I had the afternoon free on Monday (checked-in around 10:00 and they had a room ready) — I asked them to book me a golf reservation at Phokeethra for a tee-off at 1:30 that day.  No problems and they included transportation.  Since I also had Fri morning free  (airline departure 1545), I also had the hotel book another round on Fri morning.
I enjoyed both courses.  I think that Phokeethra is slightly more difficult, especially the last three holes:)

I had good caddies at both courses and pace of play was great.  During all four rounds, I only encountered two other groups, and both immediately let me play through.  I suspect the weekend gets more local expat golfers who have time off from work, especially Koreans and Japanese who appear to have increasing business interests in Siam Reap.

The arranged tour guide was excellent and I gave me a pretty good tip.  I enjoyed the tour and found the various temples and wats very interesting and thought provoking.

The arranged driver was always on time.  I found the central area of Siem Reap to be quite interesting, especially during the evening hours — plenty of interesting cafes, brasseries, restaurants — and very affordable prices.  Cocktails for $ 1.50, love it!!

Again, thanks for putting a good package together — I’ll be interested to do it again.
Regards,
