Dear Jim,

I arrived back safely, but on reflection 8 days was not long enough. My visit to Chiang Mai was wonderful and as I expected your company did the usual ‘Top Notch’ hospitality. The travel arrangements were a breeze and the Ratilanna was exceptional. I would like to give you my honest feedback on the courses I played.

1. I started with Royal Chiang Mai: Clearly an older more traditional course, well laid out and in pretty good condition, although a little scruffier than I had experienced before but generally very enjoyable. The greens were slick and true and quite a challenge. I would rate it a 7/10. Nice and I would most certainly visit it again

2. Then onto Chiang Mai Higlands. I played this course twice and found it again to be very well laid out, but nobody told me I needed to take a bucket and spade!! I have never seen so many bunkers in all the time I have played golf, but if you could master it off the Tee then all was good… I couldn’t but I still really enjoyed this course. The course was scorched brown but still in top quality condition but obviously they have no water. Great course and I can imagine with some rain this would be right up there with the best of them. Very challenging. I would give this course an 8/10

3. Then onto Summit Green Valley: Wow what a golf experince, everything about this place was fantastic, superb layout, wonderful condition, although the greens were like lightening. This is a fabulous golf course and I would highly recommend this course, but maybe that’s because I had quite a few birdies and and eagle so I might be a little biased. I would rate this as a 9+/10.

4. Finally I played Alpine Golf Resort, although I was supposed to have a rest day on my Friday I was so taken with the course that the minute I stepped off  the 18th I re-booked for another round. Tight narrow fairways, water and bunkers everywhere, this was as challenging as I have ever played anywhere, but one of those courses you just want to have another go at. I didn’t play badly and had a few birdies but anything slightly of the mark was well punished. I played my second round off the black T’s and found it easier but still a real challenge. The condition of this course was exceptional, well manicured and beautifully laid out. Fantastic club house ( as they all were ) and just overall a wonderful experience. I would rate this as close to 10/10 as I could get.

I would also like to say, that with the troubles in Bkk, I had to change my plans at the last minute, which I have to say you made very easy for me and once again provided me with a stress and hassle free Thailand Golf experience that I thoroughly enjoyed. Thank You and all your staff for an excellent trip.

Hope to hear from you soon

Kind regards
David D.
