Bangkok, Thailand, October 01, 2013 — Lotus Valley Golf Resort near Bangkok has become the lucky 13th member of Thailand’s prestigious Golf In A Kingdom marketing collective. Formed five years ago, Golf In A Kingdom, “The Thai Golf Experience”, has grown to 24 members, comprising 13 of Thailand’s best golf courses, 10 hotels and resorts and the Tourism Authority of Thailand. Lotus Valley’s entry into the program means there are now five golf course members in Bangkok, three in Pattaya, two each in Hua Hin and Phuket and one in Chiangmai. They complement three hotels each in Bangkok and the Hua Hin/Cha’am region, two in Chiangmai and one each in Phuket and Pattaya. Golf In A Kingdom founder, Mark Siegel, said Lotus Valley’s entry represented a further boost to the program and reflected the status of its new member. “Golf In A Kingdom recognises the best golf courses and hotels/resorts in Thailand. Not only does it have the whole kingdom covered, golfers who play the courses and stay at member properties can be confident they are experiencing the highest quality golf and accommodation in Thailand.” Lotus Valley Golf Resort is located in the Chachoengsao district, about 50 kilometres north-east of Bangkok. Originally designed by South African golf legend, Gary Player, the course opened in 1998. It was remodeled in 2008 by Thai resident, Jon Morrow, who designed other Golf In A Kingdom member courses Red Mountain in Phuket and Riverdale, Bangkok. Lotus Valley’s new clubhouse opened in 2008 when the course remodeling was completed. The par-72 course with water on almost every hole plays 7015 yards from the back tees and is considered one of the best and well-priced public access layouts within easy reach of Bangkok. “Lotus Valley is a wonderful golf outing for visitors to Bangkok,” Mark Siegel says. “Not only is the course immensely appealing, the clubhouse and facilities are absolutely first class. Everyone who comes to Bangkok to play golf shouldn’t miss this course.” Golfasian ambassador, Tony Meechai, has his TMG Academy at the course, where he teaches aspiring young Thai and international golfers as well as visitors. Golf In A Kingdom members are: Golf Courses – Lotus Valley, Muang Kaew, Riverdale, Suwan, Thai Country Club (Bangkok); Banyan, Black Mountain (Hua Hin); Laem Chabang, Siam Country Club Old Course and Plantation Course (Pattaya), Chiangmai Highlands (Chiangmai).
