Golfasian - Asian Golf Holiday Experts in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Laos & Myanmar
Denmark (April 24, 2021) – GolfersGlobe, Denmark’s leading golf travel portal, announced the year 2021 “Race to Thailand” tournament series presented by GolfersGlobe. The tournament series will be held in conjunction with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Thai Airways, Golf Experten and ClassicGolf.  Golfasian, Thailand’s largest inbound golf tour operator, is pleased to be the event sponsor for the Thailand golf activities as well as the official travel partner working closely with ClassicGolf  bringing Danish golfers to Thailand, one of Asia’s top golfing destination. Established in 1997 in Bangkok, Thailand, Golfasian (www.golfasian.com) is one of the most established inbound golf tour operators in Asia .  in 2020, Golfasian was for the second time named World’s Best Golf Tour Operator and for the seventh time, Best Inbound Tour Operator for Thailand and Vietnam. Quality service and expert knowledge has made Golfasian the first choice for golfers and golf tour operators throughout the world. The 14-tournament series hosted at 14 golf courses in Denmark during the summer of 2021 will include over a thousand competitors all vying for the chance to win the grand prize trip to play in Chiang Mai this November. From each tournament round the top teams will qualify for Denmark’s national final. Every round includes prizes for golf holidays, golf equipment but the ultimate prize is travelling to Thailand on Thai Airways and playing golf in the kingdom sponsored by Golfasian. The champion teams will battle at Chiang Mai Highlands and Alpine Chiang Mai this November, courtesy of Golfasian. Among the list of prestigious sponsors includes Loch Lomond Whisky, Singha Corporation, Golf Experten, Valizo Travel, Thai Airways, Lucca Golf, Lubker Golf & Spa Resort and Golfasian. “Our Golfasian team saw the Race to Thailand series take-off in 2019 and the attention it brought to golfing in Thailand” remarked Golfasian Managing Director, Mark Siegel. “Promoting golf in Thailand has always been the core of our business so supporting the series is a natural continuation of that.” The Race to Thailand series also contains a charitable aspect as the golfers involved donate to Thailand’s rural hospitals. In collaboration with the Danish “Project Daseringe”, money from the events will be collected for a prosthetic limbs hospital in Northern Thailand which makes artificial limbs for the poor. The money raised from the events will go towards a vehicle so the hospital can set up a mobile hospital allowing doctors to visit remote locations in the countryside. Importantly, the tournament series, spanning the entire summer in Denmark, continues to feature Thailand as a potential holiday destination to Danish golfers. Travel & Tourism and the golf industry in Thailand will need to re-establish itself in the world as the world recovers from the Covid pandemic. In addition to supporting international events like the Race to Thailand, Golfasian will re-launch its Golf in a Kingdom program in coming months continuing to promote Thailand as a golf destination worldwide.
