Welcome to our May edition of the newsletter and we start by saying it’s been a warm few weeks in Southeast Asia. Congratulations to all the golf lovers who have braved the heat and recorded some great rounds (or so we have heard). The good news is the heat wave eases in a few weeks and as we move into low season we receive great deals on tee times, so if you’re thinking about an Asian golf experience, June to August is a great time to do it.

Just announced, we are one of the official partners for the Duke of Edinburgh Cup World Finals Qualifiers in Bangkok at Thai Country Club on Monday 10 July 2023. The winners of the Bangkok qualifier will have their expenses for the World Finals paid for, including air travel, hotel accommodation, transportation, welcome dinner, 3 rounds of golf and a Royal Gala Prize Giving Dinner in the State Apartments of Windsor Castle attended by a Member of the Royal Family. More on events, our biggest tournament of the year is coming up in June, the Centara World Masters, immediately followed by the Avani Pattaya 2 Ball (sold out). Additionally, our new DoubleTree Phuket Golf Invitational starts in July. We then have three tournaments in September with the Pattaya Men's, Vietnam World Masters and Danang 4 Ball Golf Championship. The 2023 tournament season will end with the Pullman Pattaya Invitational Series in November. Follow our updates by bookmarking this page for our ongoing Asian golf tournament calendar. Each golf tournament allows amateur golfers to participate in professionally organized golf events that challenge one's golf skills in a fun setting and provide excellent networking and new friendship-building opportunities with golfers from all over the world.

Great Success for Golfasian, Fenix XCell and Thailand in Marbella
The IAGTO European Convention (IEC) closed last night in Marbella on Andalucía’s Costa del Sol in southern Spain after three very busy days.
Over 250 companies and organisations from all over the World participated including Golfasian and Fenix XCell from Bangkok.
Pascal Orczech, Business Development Director for Golfasian said, “The event was very successful and we met many tour operators keen to bring their clients to play golf in SE Asia”.
At the convention, five different countries were proclaimed Golf Destinations of the Year for 2023 including Thailand.

Golfasian has been SHA + (Safety & Health Administration Plus) accredited by the Tourism Authority of Thailand. As Thailand is slowly preparing to re-open its borders for international golf travelers, an initiative by the Tourism Authority of Thailand has provided a selected number of tour operators and DMCs who underwent stringent safety & health checks with the SHA +(Safety & Health Administration Plus) accreditation.
