Welcome to the March issue of the Asian Golf Insider, the source for news-breaking information about golf in Asia. Also, unique golf-playing tips for South East Asia's tropical environment and our latest tournament offers are all parts of this newsletter.
Most countries in Asia are racing to lift travel restrictions. Thailand and Cambodia have been open for some months, while Sri Lanka and the Philippines added themselves to the growing list of countries that did away with a quarantine on entry.
Ever so eager to grow tourism, Thailand eased entry requirements by removing the Day 5 hotel booking and PCR test and reducing the required minimum insurance to $20,000. The new procedure makes it easier to golf holiday in Thailand.
Vietnam is also getting in on the act and plans to reopen its borders on March 15. Check our website for the latest information, including visa and entry procedures.
Our May and September major golf tournaments are proceeding and filling up fast, while the Centara World Masters will be the largest tournament post-covid in Asia.
