Welcome to the June issue of the Asian Golf Insider, the source for news-breaking information about golf in Asia. Also, unique golf-playing tips for South East Asia's tropical environment and our latest tournament offers are all parts of this newsletter.
We are officially in the home stretch!
Our Asian golf destinations are opening for business as usual, with quarantines, Covid-19 testing, masks, and complicated paperwork being phased out over the next 1-2 months. Unsurprisingly, Asian golf travel is returning fast as the region's prior popularity among international golfers picks up where it left off. In particular, Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia are at the finish line, with international airlift now the only remaining gating travel component. Over the past two years, what we went through is morphing into a complete golf travel renaissance. What a great outlook!
On the events side, the Centara World Masters and Avani 2-Ball events returned to Thailand last month with spectacular pomp and circumstance. Many players have already signed up for the 2023 series. Please register your interest and check out our complete and ongoing Asian golf tournament calendar.
Due to Asia's numerous advantages – from publicly accessible championship golf courses, world-class service, exciting and exotic culture, and some of the best golf packages among the world's golf holiday destinations. These attributes combine to yield unforgettable golf experiences for all those who visit. Daily massages are not bad either!
Where will you travel to in 2022 or 2023? Our specialty is complete full-service itineraries created for your specific travel preferences, expectations, group size, and budgetary requirements. Please get in touch with us anytime for a competitive quote.
Until the next month, happy golfing!

DESTINATION OF THE MONTH: DANANG
Danang, Hoi An, and Hue are connected to each other by new coastal roads and tunnels. Together they make up Vietnam’s Golf Coast. Vietnam’s recognition as an up-and-coming golf destination is no secret, but the Vietnam Golf Coast ups the ante even further.
Da Nang or Danang dated to the early 14th century when the area was settled small collection hamlets in central Vietnam. In 1954 with the division of Vietnam into the North and South, Danang became part of South Vietnam, and in 1965 was the location of the first landing of US forces in Vietnam and aptly coined “China Beach.” Nowadays, the area is home to one of Asia’s best beaches, many world-class resorts, and Vietnam’s best golf courses. For example, Ba Na Hills Golf Club and the BRG Danang Golf Resort are ranked continuously among Asia’s leading golf clubs. It is no surprise then that some refer to this area as the Vietnam Golf Coast.

COURSE OF THE MONTH: Hoiana Shores GC
Hoiana Shores Golf Club is the first Robert Trent Jones II Golf Course Architects (RTJ II) golf course in Vietnam. Forty-five minutes south of Danang International Airport and 8 kilometers south of the Hoi An Ancient Town UNESCO World Heritage Site, Hoiana Shores plays through dunes along the Vietnamese coastline. The town is known as "The City of Lanterns," and fittingly, lanterns instead of flags top the pins at Hoiana.
