With international travel restrictions easing worldwide, we hope you are in good spirits. It's been an encouraging first quarter of 2022 as Asian countries are racing to reopen borders, allow travel, and facilitate golf tourism. For some, it's a gradual reopening with travel restrictions phasing out over the next few months, while for others, it's an open door.
One of the main takeaways, as we head into April, is that quarantine-free travel is now widely possible! That's right! Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore are now open for fully vaccinated travelers, requiring no quarantine. Check our website for the latest information entry procedures.
On the events side, international golf tournaments restarted in March with a successful Amari Hua Hin Skins event. Now preparations are underway for more international golf tournaments, while the Centara World Masters will be the largest post-covid tournament in Asia. Be sure to book your slots now!

CENTARA WORLD MASTERS: 8-14 May
The Centara World Masters is fast approaching! The action will kick off in Hua Hin in a little over a month, and as always, the golf courses are world class and the program packed. It’s certainly shaping up as a grand return in 2022 for Asia's biggest and richest tournament for club golfers. COURSE OF THE MONTH: Siam CC - Old Course
Siam Country Club Old Course is one of the more famous Thailand golf courses. Originally designed by Japanese architect Ichisuke Izumi, Siam Country Club was just the country's second course when it opened in 1970. In those days, heavily contoured greens, large overhanging trees, and gentle bunkering characterized the course.
The Old Course was closed in 2006-2007 for a complete renovation by Americans Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley. The original routing was, for the most part, kept intact, while all aspects of the course were modernized and brought up to international championship levels. Upgrades to the original out-and-back parallel holes included curved fairways, new water hazards, high lipped bunkers, and relocated greens. New greenside bunker complexes added the legendary Siam undulating putting surfaces.

The AVANI Pattaya Resort, host of the Honda LPGA Tournament 2022, has endless options for golfers in a central location. GOLF, SUN, BEACH AND NIGHTLIFE: Phuket rolls out the welcome mat for UK golfers
As Chan Vyas notes, the chance to play some golf and catch a bit of sunshine in Thailand is always welcomed. Of course, being able to travel again in 2022 ramps the excitement up an additional notch, with Phuket providing all the right ingredients for a good time both on and off the course.
Chan and his UK tour group landed in Phuket earlier this year, enjoying what he describes as “one wonderful trip, excellent challenging courses and social life”.
