The Laguna Golf Phuket is at Banyan Tree Resort in Bang Tao Bay was designed by Max Wexler in 1993. The 18 hole course meanders around the landscape and of the 18 holes, 13 these have water hazards. The fairways flow very nicely, the sand bunkers are molded with large greens. The best hole is still the 17th hole with a 612 yard par five requiring you to play at least twice over a water hazard. Laguna Phuket as have a practice range with a more than 2,500 square meter putting green. The clubhouse is modest but first class with excellent spa and hotel facilities. The Laguna Phuket Golf course is another must play when in Phuket and one of the top courses on Phuket Island.

The Loch Palm Golf Club situated in Phuket and opened in 1996 was newly renovated when it was taken over from Phuket Century Country Club. The golf course has very smooth slopes with dramatic elevation changes. The 18 hole, Par 71 golf course at Loch Palm takes you across and around ravines and plateaus that will test your skills. The front 9 however is located amid lakes and splendid palm trees. Carts are available and the sister course "Red Mountain" is also available.

The Phuket Country Club is a 18 hole golf course established in 1989 in Kathu on Phuket Island. It was the first champion standard golf course in Phuket. The first nine hole are challenging right from the start as 9 holes of 18 are laid out on a hilly countryside and the remaining 9 holes are laid out a flat fields. Most greens are protected by bunkers and there are a few water hazards. The clubhouse is very impressive and there is a practice area available for those who wish to take advantage of it. The new 9-hole golf course is mainly for those on holiday and used to be for members only. Phuket Country Club has an excellent golf course which should not be missed while in Phuket.

Of all the courses in Phuket the Red Mountain Golf Club course is one of the top 3 on Phuket island. The golf course is unique as it was built on an abandoned tin mine. The designer made use of this historical fact by designing the course across the entire tin mine, hence the course is very hilly.One of the attractions of this course is the historical landscapes. The course has both small and large greens, with the putting surfaces smooth due to the use of Bermuda grass. The tees and fairways are grassed with Seashore Paspalum. The course give some birdie chances with its few shorter par 4’s however the 12th, a 481 yard par 4 is much better for the hitters. Accurate shot placement is also required with the par 3’s.
