Chiang Mai’s historic importance is derived from its strategic location on the Ping River and major trading routes. Chiang Mai is a city built on the roots of a traditional Thai culture and heritage. Average high temperatures during this period are 21C with much cooler nights. The coldest months are December and January where temperatures drop down to 5C at night on the mountain tops. The hot months run from early March to the end of May. Average daytime highs are close to 30C during this season. The rainy months start in June can lasts until September. However, most rains come in the late afternoon or overnight and only on rare occasions affect golf in Chiang Mai.

Just back from a 4 night trip to Phuket for 54 holes of golf, at Blue Canyon (Lakes Course), Laguna and Loch Palm. All fantastically organised (flights excluded) by Win. We started with 7 people went down to 5 and then back up to six, and then 1 departing a day early. All the changes were handled smoothly and with out complaint by the Golfasian team. From arrival to departure everything was smooth and on time. I've already recommended their services to another group looking for a trip later in the year. This group will be back again.
