Golfers can enjoy golf in Jakarta as the city provides over 35 golf courses of which many are world-class. The great advantage of playing golf in Jakarta is that most golf courses are located 30-45 minutes outside of the city center and traveling to/from the courses is against the prevailing traffic flows.

Jakarta has 3 significant golf regions. The key region is next to Jagorawi toll road. Many well-known golf courses are located in this region which stretches between Bogor and Puncak. The second golf area is in the west of Jakarta around the Tangerang district. The third concentration of golf courses is in the east around the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road.

Some of the best courses in Jakarta are the Old Course at Jagorawi Golf & Country Club, Damai Indah Golf Club which features one Nicklaus and one Trent Jones course, and the modern 27-hole Royale Jakarta Golf Club which is the home of the Indonesian Masters.
