Ruby Tree Golf Resort

BGR Ruby Tree Golf Resort (formerly Do Son Seaside Golf Resort) features a basic 18-hole golf course that curves alongside a vast reservoir. The golf resort is a short drive from Hai Phong and Halong Bay and 2 hours from Hanoi.

The Ruby Tree site is located near the coastal resort town of Do Son, which is about 15 minutes from Hai Phong city, the main shipping port in North Vietnam. With a population of approximately 1,800,000, Hai Phong has become Vietnam’s third most populous city, the North’s leading industrial and commercial center, and one of the country’s most important seaports. Nearby Halong Bay attracts millions of visitors each year, and those looking for a round of golf after visiting this famous UNESCO World Heritage Site need to look no farther than Ruby Tree.

The BRG Ruby Tree Golf Resort’s par-72 course came from the Australian design firm Pacific Coast Design Company. The range of greens and hazards throughout accommodate various skill levels and create a fair golfing experience. Constant sea breezes make Ruby Tree Golf Resort fun to play even in the hot weather. BRG Ruby Tree opened in 2010 under the name of Do Son and is one of the top golf courses in northeast Vietnam.

Well-contoured greens, coconut palm-lined fairways, cooling ocean breezes, and the fabled Dragon Mountains are all standout features of Ruby Tree. With four sets of tees, numerous water hazards, and abundant flower beds, BRG Ruby Tree Golf Resort has been designed around saltwater lakes and offers something for golf of every skill level. While overall a sensible course for golfers in the area, BRG Ruby Tree is hardly anything to write home about.
