One of the oldest courses in Surabaya is Ahmad Yani Golf Club. The golf course is situated near the toll road and next to Patra Surabaya Hilton Worldwide.  The golf course started in 1989 and is a traditional golf course with tree-lined narrow fairways.

A Robin Nelson and Rodney Wright designed Hawaiian-styled golf course, Bali National Golf Club re-opened in 2013 after undergoing extensive renovations. Being located at the southern tip of the island puts Bali National near many of the top hotels. It is only a short 15-minute drive by new 4-lane tollway from the Bali International Airport.

Bandung Indah Golf & Country Club location in a beautiful environment surrounded by artificial hills and a lot of water makes it ideal for top golfing. The course opened in 1994 and presents beautiful views of artificial hills, cool air and water obstacles that are quite difficult for golfers of all levels. Bandung Indah designed by Michael Coates & Associates from Australia stretches around 6,400 meters.

Batam Hills Golf Resort, previously Paradise Bay Golf Club, was renovated in 2006 and is located in the Waterfront City area of Batam Island. The Max Wheeler par-72 course design playing to 6,225 meters is not long but does have a variety of holes to challenge all golfers. In the past, the Batam golf course wasn’t well-maintained, but recently, conditions are much improved.

Tering Bay Golf & Country Club coastal setting offers beautiful ocean views as its located on a 167-hectare site overlooking the picturesque bay north of Batam. The Batam golf course is 5 minutes from Nongsapura ferry terminal or 30 minutes from Batam Center. Designed by Greg Norman, the 18 hole par-72 course at Tering Bay opened for play in 1995 and stretches to over 6,400 meters.

Black Rocks Hotel & Golf Club is located on the beautiful island of Belitung. It’s reachable within 45 minutes flight from Jakarta or one hour from Singapore, followed by a 20-minute ride from Tanjung Pandan Airport. Black Rocks Hotel & Golf Club is a challenging course for all players.

Borobudur International Golf & Country Club, located in the center of Magelang City offers decent golf with incredibly beautiful surroundings. A range of active volcanoes and mountains are viewable from most parts of the course. The par-72  track plays around a large lake and offers a good test even for professional golfers.

Bukit Darmo Golf is a championship course designed by Jack Nicklaus II. The course is conveniently located only ten minutes drive from Surabaya city center. Surrounding volcanos are observable from most holes on the golf course and make for great photo opportunities.

Located on the most southern coastline of Bali along dramatic cliffs rising from the Indian Ocean, Bukit Pandawa is an 18-hole executive par-3 golf course. The JMP Golf designed course is next to the scenic beaches on the Bukit peninsula. Built on top of the limestone landscape, Bukit Pandawa Golf Club weaves its way from elevated ridges to ocean cliff edges and features spectacular views over the Indian Ocean.

Cengkareng Golf Club is a favorite golf course conveniently located near the Jakarta International Airport. The beauty of Cengkareng is that the Jakarta golf traveler can golf and depart without having to double back into the city and deal with the traffic.  Moreover, with the Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport nearby, the golf visitor can relax after the round in the comfort of the Cengkareng clubhouse, rather than waiting for a long time at the airport departure lounge.

Ciputra Golf Club & Hotel Surabaya is developed to be the location for local and worldwide tournaments. The course has three 9-hole loops in each in regulation par-36. The Valley and Lake Courses are the better conditioned, while the Hill Course offers the best challenge.

Damai Indah Golf, Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) Course located in the West Java satellite city of Bumi Serpong Damai. Opened for play in 1992, the BSD Course was the first Jack Nicklaus course in Indonesia, and many of Jack’s signatures are evident in the design, including waste bunkers flanking the fairways. BSD has won many awards including the 1999 Best Golf Course in Indonesia and 2015 IAGTO Excellence.

The Damai Indah Golf, Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) Course is located close to the Java Sea and sometimes is referred to by locals as “The Spirit of the Sea”. PIK is 22 miles to the north of Damai Indah Golf’s other 18-hole layout, the Bumi Serpong Damai Course and around 30 minutes from the Jakarta International Airport. Professional tournaments held at PIK include the World Cup in 1983 and the 2007 and 2010 editions of the Indonesia Open.

Designed by Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus, this 27-hole venue has played host to several Indonesian Opens, the Johnnie Walker Super Tour, Dunhill Asian Masters, and the Volvo Masters Asia. Emeralda is very convenient to those staying in Jakarta or Bogor as it is located right off the toll road that connects both cities. Comprising the Lake Course and the River Course, the Palmer-designed 18 is playable, expertly maintained layout that challenges the player while never beating him up.

Golf Graha Famili & Country Club developed by renowned Arnold Palmer has 18 holes and plays to a regulation par 72. The course location is in Western Surabaya. The course has bunkers, rivers and lakes as hazards that give golfers an exciting, complicated and enjoyable round of golf.

Gunung Geulis Country Club is located in the Bogor area 45 minutes off Jagorawi Highway and about 50 kilometers center of Jakarta. Sprawled over 450 hectares the 36-hole golf resort is in the hills 450 meters above sea level. Fresh air and excellent views are ever present.

Handara Golf & Resort Bali must be one of the most astonishing golf courses on Bali if not around all of South East Asia. The Bali golf course is set in the lush highlands of Bali and nestled in the crater of a volcano in the mountains of Bedugul; a 2-hour drive from Nusa Dua and 1 hour from Ubud. The long journey is worth it.

Imperial Klub Golf is located in the new town of Lippo Karawaci, 25 minutes from downtown Jakarta and 35 minutes from Jakarta’s International Airport. Imperial Klub Golf is a public golf course designed by British course architect Desmond Muirhead. This Jakarta golf course is more difficult than most and plays to over 7200 yards from the back tees.

Indah Puri Golf Resort enjoys a good reputation as one of the most scenic Batam golf courses. The Ron Fream designed course opened in 1993, plays across 120 hectares, and challenges all golfers. Indah Puri location near to Batam Center and Sekupang and it convent for golfers traveling by ferry from Singapore.

Jagorawi Golf & Country Club is situated 60 minutes from the center of Jakarta off the Jagorawi toll road. Three courses make up in a total of 45 holes. Both the Old Course and the New Course have hosted the Indonesian Open.

Set amidst a dramatically beautiful hilly terrain and surrounded by mountains in nearly every direction, the Jatinangor Golf & Resort (former Bandung Giri Gahana) is a real treat. Michael Coates & Associates designed on a site that lies some 900 meters above sea level and opened for play in 1989.Like most of the newer courses in Indonesia that were designed by internationally acclaimed designers, the Jatinangor Golf & Resort layout is of immaculate quality with plenty of fabulous holes.

Located around 1:20 from Jakarta off the Jagorawi toll road likes the Bogor Raya Golf Club. Klub Golf Bogor Raya, as the locals refer to the course, is one of the most scenic routes in the Bogor area. The golf course built into the hills surrounding Bogor, where at around 1,000 feet above sea level it's pleasantly cooler year-round than in Jakarta.

Laguna Golf Bintan set on 60-hectares on the shores of the Straits of Singapore. Initially designed by Greg Norman, the Bintan golf was brought up to modern standards in 2016 by Paul Jensen. All 18 green complexes revised, and bunkers have been reduced in number and better positioned to more strategic locations.

Merapi Golf Course is located eight hundred meters above sea level with beautiful views of Merapi Mountain and Jogjakarta. The golf course is conveniently located only thirty minutes from the center of Yogyakarta and designed by Thomson, Wolveridge & Perret is a true masterwork.  The combination of the natural charm and the quality of the climate, the complicated hilly scenery with Volcanic rocks makes the course one of the most eye-catching ones in Java.

Peter Thomson and Ross Perrett designed Mountain View Golf Club, located in a prestigious residential complex 30 minutes from the Bandung airport or 20 minutes from the city center. Mountain View plays to a par 72, 5,583 meters off the back tee markers. The Bandung golf course features several tees on each hole to offer golfers of all abilities a good challenge and shot at par.

Located on Bali's southern shore in the Pecatu compound at Dreamland Beach is one of Bali's most spectacular golf courses, New Kuta Golf. Carved out of harsh limestone between the brilliant white cliffs and the blue waters of the Indian Ocean, New Kuta Golf ranks among Asia's most spectacular. New Kuta was awarded as the Best New International Course by Links Magazine 2008 and 10th Best Course in Indonesia by Golf Digest in 2009.

Padang Golf Sukajadi is an 18 hole par-72 course near to Batam center. The layout originally conceived by golf course designer Thomson, Wolveridge & Perrett in the late 1980s. However, due to a sluggish economy, the Batam golf course did not open until 2009 when a local architect and land developers redeveloped it.

Pakuwon Golf & Family Club is situated only half an hour drive from the city center of Surabaya. The club has a distinctive concept of “the Africa Lost City”, giving the touch of different atmosphere in this stylish & magnificent club. The golf course is an executive Par 3 and includes an integrated full range driving range.

Palm Springs Golf & Country Club is the closest Batam golf course to Singapore and part of a large 224-hectare property complex in the corner of the island.  When arriving at Nongsapura Ferry Terminal, it’s a 5-minute ride to the clubhouse which overlooks a very pretty palm-fringed beach — situated with spectacular views of Nongsa beach with Singapore skyscrapers in the background. Parahyangan Golf Bandung designed by Bob Moore - lead designer of USA-based JMP Golf Design Group sets up in a dramatic valley-to-mountain landscape. The Bandung golf course located beyond Kota Baru town and is a component of Kota Baru Parayhangan, a carefully planned, mixed-use development spreading over an area of 1,250 hectares.Parahyangan navigates through two distinctly different types of terrain and around some offshoot bays of the Saguling Lake.

Ria Bintan Golf Club is a 27-hole championship golf course designed by Gary Player. The 18-hole Ocean Course and the first nine holes of the 18-hole Forest Course opened for play in October 1998 and December 2000, respectively. Riverside Golf Club is a challenging 18-hole par 72 course set along the Cikeas River and 30 kilometers from central Jakarta.  The first Greg Norman-designed course in Indonesia opened in 1994. Course routing makes use of the original hardwood rain forested jungle and offers players a real test of golf.

Royale Jakarta Golf Club is located just 15 minutes from central Jakarta and accessible via the toll road. One of the new Jakarta golf courses, Royale Jakarta, was designed as a world-class championship course from day one. The course is the permanent home and venue for the Indonesian Masters.

Nicklaus designed hybrid links course
Sedayu Indo Golf lets gofers in Jakarta experience a new golf course downtown. The Golf Island course’s location is among the new development reclamation in the Pantai Indah Kapuk area by Agung Sedayu Group and Salim Group - Sedayu Indo.  Some will shudder at the term “man-made links course,” but many famous courses like New York’s Bayonne Golf Club showed that this incredible sleight-of-hand is doable.

Since 1962, Senayan National Golf Club has been popular amongst local Indonesia golfers due to its location in the heart of the central business district. However, the original course was short and scruffy with tight fairways, mature trees and an old clubhouse.In December 2012, Senayan National was reopened its doors to members and visitors after a complete makeover by the JMP Group and golf course architect Bob Moore.

Sentul Highlands, designed by Gary Player, is located in Bogor area inside the Sentul City residential development. Sentul Highlands takes a little over 1 hour from Jakarta via the Jagorawi toll road and in 30 minutes from the center of Bogor. It was previously known as Mentari Golf Bukit Sentul.

The Batam golf resort sits on  213 hectares of elevated ground adjacent to the Sei Ladi reservoir. The original 1996 Japanese designed course was laid out on mostly flat land with the routing of holes out-and-back.
