Hariphunchai Golf Club

Famous Japanese golf course architect Yoshikazu Kato, who was also responsible for other excellent courses such as Blue Canyon Country Club in Phuket, designed Hariphunchai. Well-manicured fairways and smooth rolling greens are comparable to conditions of a private members club.
Each hole on the course features risk and reward shots with water in play on six of the nine holes. Two of the best holes include the sixth, a 460 yard par-4 and the finishing hole, a par-5 measuring over 650 yards. The former plays straight into the prevailing winds with a water hazard running up the entire right side of the fairway. The latter is a three-shot hole for par, with a large tree in the middle of the fairway that demands precision to lay up far enough away so that the there is ample room for the second shot.
Hariphunchai Golf Course is set up with two tee boxes on each hole for those wanting to play two rounds. Each tee box is at different angles and distances from the fairway that requires different clubs being needed to hit most greens.
Overall the experience at Hariphunchai is excellent, and the course is one of the best conditioned and tests of golf in Chiang Mai
