Alpine Golf Resort Chiang Mai

The 18-hole Chiang Mai course at 7,541 yards in length from the black tees will challenge the professional golfer, although anyone who enjoys golfing in the fresh country air, close to nature, will find it equally pleasant from either the white or blue tee boxes. The magnificent hills on its horizon inspired the first 18 by world-famous golf course designer, Mr. Ron M Garl. No matter where you are on the course, you are sure to enjoy nature at its best: beautiful lush green from the nearby forests - which comprise a rich assembly of trees such as the golden teak wood, mahogany, and many more other species.
The new nine holes, opened in 2016, play towards the rear of the resort and are separated into three distinct zones. The pine tree zone is more of a parkland area, the wetland zone plays through marshes, and working rice paddy fields highlight the paddy zone. Rice fields surround one of the par-3 holes forming Thailand’s only rice paddy green. The new nine holes are currently divided between the original 18 holes so that everyone plays some of the new and old courses.
Other memorable golf holes include the fourth on the A Course, the longest par five on the course, and one in Thailand at 652 yards. The fifth on the A Course, a 444-yard par 4 with well guarded green and where par would be a good score. On the seventh of the A, Course golfers take note of the charming spirit house near the tee. The stream runs alongside and across this hole from green to tee makes it one of the most challenging holes on the course. The best golfers may carry the water and hit green in two. Anything from an eagle to a triple bogey can result in this new hole.
The island fairway on the par-four ninth hole of the A course is both beautiful and challenging. Playing over water twice and almost directly into the prevailing wind makes this hole a challenging ending to the front nine. The eleventh hole, a 524-yard par 4 (yes par 4!), is, without a doubt, the most difficult on the golf course. Doglegging left with water down the entire left side; this hole plays almost like a par 5.
Alpine Chiang Mai is complete with a full range of facilities, including a 4-star resort, international restaurant, and day spa; all this in the spectacular ambiance of the hills of Chiang Mai.
