Cebu Island is the 126th largest island in the world. The island itself is long and narrow, stretching 196 kilometers from north to south and 32 kilometers across at its widest point. The island’s climate is warm and humid year-round, with a rainy season June–November. However, their Typhoons are most likely during October–December. There are two seasons in Cebu − the dry and wet season. It is dry and sunny most of the year with some occasional rains during the months of June to December. The province of Cebu normally gets typhoons once a year or none at all. Cebu’s temperatures can reach a high of 36 °C (97 °F) from March to May, and as low as 18 °C (64 °F) in the mountains during the wet season. The average temperature is around 24 to 34 °C (75 to 93 °F), and does not fluctuate much except during the month of May, which is the hottest month. Cebu averages 70–80% humidity.
