Kanchanaburi and the River Kwai area is another destination to golf in Thailand. It has some of the loveliest and most challenging golf courses, rarely visited by golfers, and hardly included in any Thailand golf holiday packages.

Kanchanaburi, sometimes referred to as River Kwai, is the fourth largest province in Thailand. Located 130 km west of Bangkok, the area is reached in 2 hours by road. The rural province shares a border with Myanmar (Burma), and the terrain comprises mountains and high plains. Most of the local population is of Thai ancestry with some Mon and Karen hill tribe minorities that add an exotic touch to golf in Kanchanaburi. WWII historical sites make for ideal touring after golfing.

Up to now, golf in the River Kwai area has been something of a secret. However, those who have the chance to golf in Kanchanaburi will be pleasantly surprised.

Chris recommended I change my hotel accommodations and allow Golfasian to arrange my Bangkok trip and golf tee times. I'm so glad I did because the hotel, the transportation, and the four golf courses they arranged were excellent. I was in the Soi 11 area, so everything was within walking distance. I had a great time for my first visit to Thailand, and I will certainly use Golfasian again for my golf trip to Pattaya next year.

Just back from great 3 week trip with Golfasian, visiting Hua Hin, Bangkok and Pattaya. Golf Asian arranged everything from arrival at Bangkok airport to departure. Just finished two wonderful weeks of golf in Thailand organized by Golf Asia. Incredible courses in both Hua Hin & Chaing Mai. Black Mountain and Banyon are outstanding. Ian Morgan in Hua Hin was a complete professional and had a chance to stop by so we could meet him.
Definitely recommended as a complete turn-key service. Caddies are new to us but great aspect of golf in Thailand.
