Gassan Panorama Golf Club Description:
(renovated course with a variety of holes & hazards)

It was opened in 2006 as the Gassan Marina Golf Club, the third course in the Gassan Group. In 2017, the Chiang Mai golf course re-emerged for the second time under the Gassan Panorama Golf Club name, including a complete renovation, redesign, and upgrading.

At 7,761 yards, monster yardage among Thailand’s golf courses, Gassan Panorama includes 18 holes playing mainly around the contour of a large Chiang Mai lake. Huge bunker complexes, various hole distances and designs, and a backdrop of mountains all complement the golfing challenge.

The course does not have many par-5 holes; instead has a par-6 hole that measures 666 yards from the back tee. Several of the par-3’s play over water, with bailout areas left or right. Several sets of tees are available to match golfers of all abilities.

After golf, players can wind down in an Arabian-styled clubhouse. Overlooking the Gassan course, lake, and surrounding mountains at nearly 10,000 square meters, it includes Thai and International restaurants, locker rooms, a pro shop, and many areas for relaxation. Constructed to mix European architecture with a Dubai palace, the clubhouse resembles an Arabian Sheiks castle and is unique among the serene mountains of Northern Thailand.

Gasan Panorama fits the bill for most golfers in Chaing Mai for a lovely day out with reasonable green fees.

"Visited the course whilst checking out the area, couldn't play due to a broken foot at the time but would recommend that you don't bother. The clubhouse in a state of disrepair, the pro shop had virtually no stock, (not even new golf balls). There were only two cars in the car park on my arrival, for the time of day it should have been buzzing. Once I saw the state of the place though it was obvious why it was almost deserted. Do not waste your time and money travelling to even look at it."

Just back from a 4 night trip to Phuket for 54 holes of golf, at Blue Canyon (Lakes Course), Laguna and Loch Palm. All fantastically organised (flights excluded) by Win. We started with 7 people went down to 5 and then back up to six, and then 1 departing a day early. All the changes were handled smoothly and with out complaint by the Golfasian team. From arrival to departure everything was smooth and on time. I've already recommended their services to another group looking for a trip later in the year. This group will be back again.
