Alta Vista Golf and Country Club
Gary Player’s Black Knight Design Group of South Africa commissioned to design a championship layout here, that offers an exciting challenge to the game of golf. Alta Vista golf, a 6,237-yard par-72, has become not just one of the more popular venues for tournament championships on Cebu but boasts some of the most picturesque holes in the Philippines.
From practically every tee, fairway and green, one can enjoy the breathtaking view of the Queen City of the South, and its surrounding tropical islands. It is not known to be a flat course, and do expect to see a lot of water hazards, backed by some incredible views of the bay.
The Spanish Colonial-inspired Clubhouse, completed in 1997, is another masterpiece that has now become the imposing landmark of the fabled Pardo Hill of Cebu.
Its Golf Wing consists of the Reception Desk, Golfer’s Lounge, air-conditioned Men’s and Ladies Lockers, Golfers Bar, and a Pro Shop. There is also a family restaurant, a fine dining restaurant, the Bowling Café, and a pool deck gazebo.
