Sawang Resort & Golf Club Description:
(enjoyable rural course favored by the locals)

Sawang Resort & Golf Club is located 1 hour from Hin Hin in neighboring Petchaburi province. Surrounded by rice fields and fruit tree orchids Sawang plays over rolling hills. The Hua Hin golf course a good alternative to the busier resort courses in Hua Hin itself.

The 27 hole layout looks like it has always been there with a mixture of both water and tree lined holes. Overall Sawang is an enjoyable course with generous fairways that appeals to all standards of player, but with a few surprises for the lower handicapper looking for some challenge.

The East - South combination is the best routing. Hole 2, a 535 yard dogleg par 5 is one of the better holes as is the 407 yard par 4 17th which plays over water to an island green.

Course conditions are average and what is expected in a rural environment setting. The clubhouse, locker rooms, practice areas are all adequate for the Hua Hin golf visitor. Sawang is a good choice for those who want to experience golf in Hua Hin without all of the tourists.

Golf Tour Packages in Hua Hin

Went with my brother and our non-golfing wives on a weeklong golf and cultural holiday in Hanoi. Superb attention to detail by Sophie who was very patient as we made several changes prior to finalization of booking. Drivers were very prompt and friendly. Tour guide "Hiro" who led us to an exploration of Hanoi military history was awesome and we learned so much from him. Played Dai Lai Star and BRG Legend, great design and scenery. Enjoyed also our cruise of Halong Bay. Just wish we had the time to play another round or 2. We are now planning a golf trip to either Penang, Phuket or Yogyakarta and cant wait to use GolfAsian again.

Niki at GolfAsian Thailand put together our golf itinerary on extremely short notice and every part of the experience was efficient and smooth. From organizing the itinerary, managing payments, being picked up at the hotel by fantastic drivers (Sombat and Rocky in Hua Hin are great!), picked up after our round in a timely manner...all of it was fantastic! I recommend you email or call Golfasian directly because my first encounter with them through their online chat was absolutely awful. But I gave them a second chance and Niki came to our rescue. We couldn't be happier and will definitely use GA again!

Used Golfasian to organize a 2 week trip for 6 people - 3 golfers and 3 non-golfers, travelling to 4 different parts of Thailand and playing 7 different courses. Chris recommended I change my hotel accommodations and allow Golfasian to arrange my Bangkok trip and golf tee times. I'm so glad I did because the hotel, the transportation, and the four golf courses they arranged were excellent. I was in the Soi 11 area, so everything was within walking distance. I had a great time for my first visit to Thailand, and I will certainly use Golfasian again for my golf trip to Pattaya next year.
