Johor Golf & Country Club Description:
(old style parkland course)

Located off the main highway to Kuala Lumpur and right outside the Johor city limits, Johor Golf & Country Club's history goes back quite a way. Initially designed by Malaysian Dato Ahmad Adam as a nine-hole layout in 1970 the full 18-hole track completed in 1972 and was then the first international standard golf course in the State of Johor.

In 1991 the course underwent a redesign and upgrading by noted designer Max Wexler. The renovation saw new Bermuda Tifdwarf for all putting surfaces. Moreover, new tee boxes, automated irrigation, and six additional lakes improved the playability and challenge. Since then Johor Golf & Country Club has hosted several professional events including the Iskandar Johor Open from 2007 – 09 with notable winners K.J Choi and Retief Goosen.

Nowadays Johor Golf & Country Club is semi-private and depending on the season and conditions could be a consideration for golf in Johor. The style of play is parkland with many mature trees lining the fairways as can be expected.

Facilities are decent, and include a modern clubhouse, locker rooms, restaurant, and practice facilities.

    • We dealt with GolfAsian via their Australian representative, Prestige Golf Tours. Couldn't be happier with either of these companies, or recommend them highly enough. All of the transfers from airports, hotels and golf clubs went perfectly. Their staff were a dream to deal with. Their prices are very reasonable. From small things like free water on the bus each day, we just couldn't have been happier.

    • After numerous tournaments with Golfasian, we are very satisfied with their service, efficiency & wonderful staff..We are still planning more in the future..even now with these unknown health conditions, as we know the company will not put any of their clients/friends in a dangerous situation. See you again soon hopefully...stay safe!

    • My mates and I have been doing golfing trips to Asia for 10 years now. This time we used Golfasian and they were the best so far. You just want reliability with these arrangements and Golfasian provided that with very friendly, english speaking drivers. Good work Golfasian, we'll be back next year.

    • I was in Thailand and my golf was set by Mr. Win. There were some complications from my side as I had to change dates of trip. Mr Win was very flexible with that and organize all to new dates. I visited and played at almost all golf courses near Pukhet - all of them in very good condition. Some of them are not really for higher HCP player... I would not hesitate to organize my next trip with Mr Win !
