(pleasant 18-hole layout in Nong Khai)
Victory Park Golf & Country Club built in 1997 was the first 18-hole golf course in Nong Khai province and near the Thai border with Laos. The Issan golf course has a nice, albeit flat, layout, with well-maintained greens set in a natural environment.
Several regional golf tournaments played at Victory Park include the Heineken Amateur Thailand Championship, Singha Issan Championship, and Nivea Sun for British Open.
Designed by American golf course architect James R. Vaughn, the 6,888-yard golf course plays to a par-72 and features a range of holes from the short 172 yard par-3 13th to the longest hole on the golf course, the par-5 7th which plays to 599 yards from the back tees.
The basic clubhouse has a nice restaurant, but not much else in the way of internationally friendly facilities. Overall, Victory Park is a pleasant golf experience, especially for those golfers traveling in Issan and from Laos.
